biostatistic = application of statistic in biological sciences - medicine, pharmacy.
parameter = characteristic of whole population (uncountable)
statistic = characteristic of a sample, presumably measurable
2 types of data, categorical and numerical. categorical - count, proportion, rate, ratio - divided into 2 which are nominal (gender,color) and ordinal (cancer stages,income). numerical - central of measurement and dispersion - also divided into 2 which are discrete (finite and possible value) and continuous (infinite and no possible values) data.
interval = no real value of zero (temperature)
ration = has real value of zero (weight and length)
